From Problem to Practical Action
Shequetta starts by clarifying the actual challenge beneath the initial request. She combines SWOT analysis, root cause and Five Whys questions, process mapping, action planning and leadership reflection to move from an issue to a realistic next step. PESTLE analysis, customer journey mapping and systems thinking can support the work where useful.

Facilitation Philosophy
Listen closely. Challenge assumptions. Build useful action.
Shequetta’s facilitation is grounded in careful listening, honest disclosure and relevant expertise. If a requested workshop appears to miss the underlying need, she explains why and offers a better fitting option so the client can make an informed decision.
Listen with care
Understand what the client needs and be honest about the limits of one’s expertise.
Offer honest alternatives
Offer constructive alternatives when the initial request does not address the real problem.
Make progress practical
Make space for open questions and feedback, then turn insights into actionable next steps.
Read Shequetta’s full facilitation philosophy
A good workshop facilitator listens carefully to what the client needs, brings relevant knowledge to the work, and is always honest about the limits of their expertise — never pretending to know something they do not. Full disclosure and transparency are essential to building an open and trustworthy relationship. When a client’s request does not seem to address their underlying need, a good facilitator tells them the truth, presents both sides, and offers an alternative they believe would better serve the client, respecting the client’s ability to make an informed decision while still bringing their own expertise to the table.
A good workshop hub is accessible, knowledgeable about both the organizational clients it works with and the facilitation field more broadly, and honest in its communication. It offers advice when needed, responds in a timely way, and most importantly sets facilitators up for success by providing all the tools and information they need to do their work effectively.
A good organizational client respects the facilitator’s time, comes in with an open mind, and is genuinely receptive to hearing that a different approach might serve them better. They ask questions and are truly interested in the information and learning being offered. Rather than becoming defensive when challenged, they receive honest feedback positively and remain willing to consider ideas that push back against their existing thinking, creating the conditions for a workshop to make a real and lasting difference.

Workshops and follow-up
The five customizable offerings are Leadership Essentials: Building Stronger Teams; Communication That Works: Improving Workplace Relationships; Career Ready: Preparing for Employment and Professional Success; Customer Service Excellence: Creating Positive Experiences; and Finding Solutions: Using SWOT Analysis to Improve Organizations. U.S. and international scheduling can be discussed. She prefers five to seven days’ notice for customized engagements and may consider shorter notice for familiar topics. Workshops usually run 60–90 minutes, ideally for 10–20 participants and up to approximately 30.
Facilitation technology
Virtual delivery uses Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 tools including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. She also has experience with Blackboard LMS, screen sharing, collaborative documents, chat and AI productivity tools. Custom materials and follow-up are scoped to the engagement.
