Workshops, Coaching & Consulting

Four customizable offerings support individual development and organizational learning. Each engagement begins with intake and a strategy conversation to confirm fit, desired outcomes, participants, delivery format, and the support needed after the session.

Career Acceleration & Leadership Visibility Advisory

Group or individual · 3–6 months

A structured advisory program that helps professionals identify strategic accomplishments, articulate their value, develop an executive narrative, strengthen career materials, and build a practical visibility strategy.

Begins with an intake and strategy session. Frameworks and recommendations are tailored to the participant, with action planning, accountability, and follow-up implementation support.

Career Development & Offer Negotiation

Group or individual · 4 months

A focused development program addressing value communication, role alignment, career direction, and offer negotiation. It is suited to professionals preparing for a new role, promotion, or a clearer next career step.

The engagement connects career assets and positioning with practical decisions, preparation, and follow-through. Goals and the structure of support are agreed during intake.

AI & Workforce Consulting

Workshop · Facilitated discussion · Consulting

Helps organizational leaders examine AI’s impact on their workforce and respond to employee questions and concerns. Practical frameworks and facilitated discussion support a people-centered conversation about change.

The scope may include AI tools for job seekers and AI’s effects on careers and hiring. Recommendations, action plans, and follow-up support are customized to organizational context.

Value Proposition, Positioning & Visibility

Structured workshop · 30-day action plan

A practical workshop for professionals who want to communicate the value of their work more clearly. A guided value-identification exercise supports stronger positioning and leadership visibility.

Participants develop a 30-day action plan to turn reflection into sustainable practice. The emphasis is on useful changes in behavior and communication, rather than information alone.

Methods, Experience & Engagement Details

Valerie’s coaching background informs a consultative process: understand the underlying challenge, distinguish a requested workshop from the need behind it, customize a useful framework, and develop practical recommendations. Action planning, accountability, and implementation support help connect the learning experience to work participants can carry forward.

She has worked as a Career Coach AI Trainer, developing specialized datasets used to train AI models to identify and filter harmful or inaccurate career advice. This experience complements her facilitation on AI tools for job seekers and the wider implications of AI for careers and hiring.

Her client work includes supporting professionals through job changes, promotions, and compensation negotiations. Her reported professional highlights include Top Career Coach recognition for 2024 from CoachFoundation; leadership development and coaching recognition from CIOReview in 2019 and 2021; and the 2022 CREA Global Award from Brainz Magazine. She is also the co-author of an internationally bestselling book about business connections and has been featured in Fast Company, CT Insider, and CBS Evening News.

She works with small businesses, corporations, startups, nonprofits, membership organizations, professional associations, and local and state government. She is particularly well matched with professionals whose work produces measurable achievements and who need help making that contribution visible and meaningful to others.

Valerie facilitates professionally in English and serves clients nationally within the United States from the Eastern Time Zone. Delivery is primarily online through Zoom and Google Meet. In-person engagements are available by arrangement, with a preference for the Northeast United States.

Her digital toolkit includes Miro, Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, Canva, Mentimeter, Luma, and Eventbrite, along with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Tool selection depends on the objectives and needs of the engagement.

Her stated capacity is approximately two to three engagements per month. Scheduling is generally flexible across days and time blocks, including evenings and weekends when necessary. Recurring engagements are welcome; dates and availability are confirmed during planning.

Facilitation Philosophy

People-centered. Practical. Shared responsibility.

Valerie approaches organizational challenges as fundamentally human. A sound strategy or a new tool is not enough when people lack clarity, confidence, alignment, or the opportunity to contribute. She values authentic, inclusive engagement and measures learning by what participants can apply afterward.

Understand the human challenge

Look beyond tools and strategy to clarity, confidence, alignment, communication, and participation.

Match support to the real need

Reframe the initial request when useful, and choose a facilitation approach that fits the organization.

Share accountability

Build realistic expectations and create opportunities to apply learning; organizational decisions and implementation remain with the client.

Read Valerie’s full facilitation philosophy

I approach workshop facilitation and consulting from the conviction that organizational challenges are rarely just technical or operational — they are fundamentally human. My coaching background shapes how I work: I understand that an organization can have a sound strategy, sophisticated tools, and ambitious goals, yet struggle to achieve results if its people lack clarity, confidence, alignment, or the opportunity to contribute. This perspective is especially relevant when organizations are navigating AI adoption, leadership transitions, or evolving workforce expectations. Just as a capable professional may struggle to make their value visible, an organization may have talented people and strong leadership yet still face disconnects in communication, decision-making, or behavior that prevent it from reaching its goals.

My focus is on application, not just information — helping people and organizations act differently as a result of the learning experience. When an organization’s workshop request doesn’t address its underlying need, I reframe the request rather than simply deliver what was asked. The values that guide my practice are being people-centered, authentic, inclusive, practical, and oriented toward sustainable progress.

I believe a good workshop hub should act as a trusted intermediary — not merely a marketplace — that invests in understanding what an organization actually needs before making a match. That match should go beyond topic alignment to consider expertise, facilitation approach, and overall fit. The hub should communicate clearly with both sides, establish clear boundaries around responsibilities, protect the quality of the engagement, and help clients develop realistic expectations about what a workshop can and cannot accomplish.

A good organizational client does not need to have everything figured out before engaging — uncertainty, competing priorities, and internal disagreement are often exactly why outside support is sought. What matters is the organization’s willingness to engage honestly, share relevant context, involve the right people, and remain open to learning. I approach every engagement as a partnership built on transparency, mutual respect, realistic expectations, and shared accountability — not a transaction in which an organization purchases a workshop and expects the facilitator to solve a problem independently.

Follow-through after the session is where the real work happens: the organization must treat the workshop as part of a larger effort, create opportunities for participants to apply their learning, and take responsibility for decisions and actions within its control. The facilitator can support that progress, but implementation belongs to the organization.
